
14AFAF 2025 stands for 14th Asian Fisheries and Aquaculture Forum 2025, intends to promote sustainable fisheries and aquaculture in the Asia-Pacific area. It is a joint event of the Asian Fisheries Society (AFS), Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Department of Fisheries (DoF), Government of India (GoI), and the Asian Fisheries Society Indian Branch (AFSIB).

This event is being hosted in India for the second time (after 18 years) after the 8AFAF held at Kochi in 2007. The 14AFAF was inaugurated by Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying and Panchayati Raj. The event is bringing together key players from the fisheries and aquaculture sectors and is hosting around 1,000 delegates from 24 countries, including researchers, policymakers, industry leaders and stakeholders.
The closing ceremony will take place on February 14, 2025, 4:30 PM at Bharat Ratna C. Subramaniam Auditorium, ICAR Convention Centre, New Delhi, in the presence of Chief Guest: Bhagirath Choudhary.

Second time inaugration of this event in India remarks the progress of India in fisheries sector. Also, India occupies 2nd position in total fish production and also aquaculture production globally.
