The Consortium of ‘Textile’ Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) with the support of the Ministry of Textiles will host the world’s largest textile event ‘Bharat Tex 2024’ from 26th to 29th February 2024 in New Delhi. Union Minister Piyush Goyal commended textile industry bodies for organising Bharat Tex 2024.

Bharat Tex 2024-
- Bharat Tex 2024 will exhibit India’s textile industry encompassing cultural heritage, traditions and cutting-edge innovations providing a comprehensive view of the entire value chain.
- The mega event has been planned as the world’s largest textile fair, displaying India’s prowess as a trustworthy supplier of textile products across the entire value chain, all under one roof.
- There will be exhibitors and buyers from over 40 countries.
- The event will showcase around 3,500 exhibitors spread across a 2,00,000 sq.m. gross area, knowledge sessions, conferences, CEO roundtables as well as B2B and government-to-government (G2G) meetings.
- It will represent India’s comprehensive 5F vision encompassing Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign.
- Piyush Goyal launched the logo, website and video of the fair.

What is Kasturi Cotton Bharat?
- Piyush Goyal also launched Kasturi Cotton Bharat’s website.
- It is a joint initiative by the Ministry of Textiles, the Cotton Corporation of India (CCI), Trade Bodies and industry.
- CCI, a mini ratna company under the Ministry of Textiles, has its HQs in Mumbai, MH and was established in 1970.
- This initiative focuses on enhancing the competitiveness of Indian cotton in the global market through branding, traceability and certification.
- The website offers essential information and updates about the initiatives. It also outlines the registration process for ginners to produce the Kasturi Cotton Bharat brand.
