The edition is said to be held at Handloom Haat, Janpath, New Delhi, from 11 AM to 8 PM.

Reviving the Legacy of the ‘Sari’-

Indian women’s wardrobes have featured the sari, a traditional representation of Indian culture, for ages but the goal of the Viraasat Sari Festival is not just to display this famous garment; it is to rekindle a passion for traditional artistry and handloom weaving across the country. It is a painful reminder of the need of traditional, sustainable crafting in a time when quick fashion is king. It provides a forum to honor and conserve this priceless aspect of India’s history by uniting handloom weavers, designers, sari enthusiasts and buyers. The “Virasat Sari Festival,” which was held in 2022–2023 and 2023–2024 and attracted an amazing 20,000 visitors of all ages, was a huge success and gave the industry much-needed attention.
